Post-GMTK development


Hullo all!

Thanks to everyone who played, commented or rated the game! The rest of the team and I have been absolutely blown away by all the positivity feedback and support that has come from the community.

As some of you may have seen from my replies- I am indeed continuing on with development for this game! At some point I’ll publish a more official timeline for progression on the project, but for the time being it’s going to be more of an extension on the jam. Getting all the features into the game that we had originally planned such as:

  • Updated Projectile behaviours: tracking, caster relative / independency, collision behaviours, and more (as seen in the attachment).
  • Sounds: BGM, hit effects, casting noises, interactions and everything else that we missed during the jam.
  • Different encounters: Currently the vast majority of the rooms pull from a pool of baddies that they can spawn, and are classified in the system and being fight rooms. HOWEVER, we had a variety of rooms that we call “chance rooms” that may have different NPCs with short stories and roll tables to claim boons and rewards from. Not to mention the merchant that you may have spotted in one of the northern branches! I plan to drop the first post-jam update sometime during next week, and I thoroughly hope to see further feedback from anyone who gives it a play!

To finish off: I just wanted to say a big thanks to the rest of the team for supporting me during this Jam, it was a little bit of a wild ride but I’m glad you were all there for the journey. <3
